The 15th European Cable Wakeboard & Wakeskate Championships 2013 were held in Fagersta, Sweden at Fagestra Cable Park from 26th August to the 31st, 18 riders from Team GB headed out on the Sunday to compete.

In my division there were 28 riders split into four Qualification groups of eight where the top three riders from each group went straight through to Semi’s with the rest going into LCQ’s for another chance to make it through.

The Semi Finals was made up of two groups of eight riders with the top four from each group going through to make up an eight rider Finals to battle it out for Podium.

My competition started on the Wednesday with Qualifications and LCQ’s, with the Finals being held on the Thursday. So Pleased to have Qualified 1st in my heat and so going straight through to Semi Finals on the Thursday where I qualified 3rd so going through into Finals landing my first run but falling on my harder run placing me third on the podium in Europe and bringing home the Bronze Medal 🙂

Thanks to Clare Cordery ‘ GB Team Mum’ for looking after me and to CK ‘Team Coach’ and Ralph Young ‘Team Manager’ for all their help and advice!

Big thanks to my sponsors for all my equiptment, training and funding from Ctrl Wakeboards, Fro Systems, Fox Europe, WMski Wakepark, and BWS&W

Wakeboard

The British Boat Wakeboard & Wakeskate Nationals were held at Quayside Wake across the weekend of the 6th & 7th of July, with over 60 riders attending all battling it out to become British National wakeboard & wakeskate champion in their age division, being pulled behind the new Nautique G23 wakeboat!

Great support from the sponsors with Nautique, Fro Sytems, Bro Clothing, Contour Cams, RedBull, JetPilot and Goldcoast skateboards, all supporting the event.

So happy to have won both Wakeboard & Wakeskate in my age division to become British Boys Boat National Champion, thanks for the support and coaching from LDB Wakeschool, Ctrl Wake, Fox Europe, Fro Systems 🙂

Grass Roots Tour Stop 5 Comp

Stoked with Podium 1st at the Grass Roots Tour Stop held at Just Wake – Tattershall Lakes Wake Park at the weekend, sick riding from all the riders, also Qualified me for the Wakestock Pool Gap which will be my first year at this event in July.

On the Sunday I entered the RedBull Harbour Reach Qualification Comp, the format was a knockout comp, it started off with sixteen riders making up four groups with four riders in each group. Two from each group going through into an eight rider semi’s then split into two groups of four, with top two from those groups going through to make up a four rider final, so happy to have made it all the through to the finals and coming 3rd.

Thank you again to all my sponsors for supporting me, Fox, Ctrl Wake, WMski Wake Park, LDB Wakeschool, check them out!

1st Stop AOD UK Boat Comp Series

BeFunky_AOD.jpg

The 1st stop of the UK AOD Boat series comps were held at LDB Wakeschool at the weekend, pulled by their new Axis 20, being well supported with over fourty five riders attending. Great start to the season with a Podium positition in both the Boys (U16yrs)Wakeboard 1st & Wakeskate 2nd divisions. Next stop is at Quayside Wakeschool on 15th June behind their Mastercraft X2.

Also its great news for the UK boat scene, as this year all AOD comps will adopt the official Wakeboard UK rules/competition format, so all riders that are members of British Water Ski & Wakeboard and have a valid Competition Boarding Pass, will now receive an offical UK ranking.

Check out the AOD website or Facebook page to keep upto date with all the latest info & standings!

Thank you again to my sponsors, LDB Wakeschool, WMski for my Coaching/Riding, & CTRL UK, Tribalwatersports & Fox Europe for all my gear!
